About  Bromley Croquet Club

In April 2019 the Hayes, Bromley and Keston Croquet Club re-located from Langley Park to Bromley Common.  The club took over the clubhouse and lawns of the Bromley Common Bowls Club which is situated in the south western corner of Whitehall Recreation Ground.  The park is an open community green space in the heart of Chatterton Village, Bromley Common.

In November 2019 the club changed its name to Bromley Croquet Club.

The club is a full member of the Croquet Association and also of the South Eastern Croquet Federation.

Facilities

The clubhouse and lawns are situated in Walpole Road and are enclosed by tall privet hedges.  The main lawn is full size and we also have a small practice lawn.

We have changing rooms and kitchen and toilet facilities are available in the clubhouse.

Our season runs from April through to mid October.  Members can play in all club sessions during the season by just turning up. There is no need to book. We have a diary booking system for club internal matches and friendly matches.

The lawns are maintained to a high standard by an experienced green keeper who has looked after them for many years.

All our members will get a chance to play in friendly and also league matches home and away against other local clubs. We believe that playing and enjoying croquet is more important than winning.  We welcome beginners and players of any standard should be able to find suitable opponents.

We are a small friendly club and from time to time we have vacancies. If you are interested in  becoming a member please contact the club.
