MATCH REPORT

BROMLEY V EALING 9TH JULY 2023

This afternoon the Bromley A league team played Ealing at home. Despite dire weather warnings of heavy downpours the day remained dry and we had a full day's play. We played 2 doubles matches followed by 6 singles matches and at that point the score stood at 4 games each. The final doubles match was keenly contested but, unfortunately for Bromley, Ealing were the winners. We were not too downcast because the Ealing team had two very low handicap players.

We were able to enjoy our picnic lunches outside by the lawns followed by a delicious cream tea at close of play. The Ealing team were good fun to play against and we all enjoyed the day.
